I am going camping. If you are going camping you will need shelter, rope, food, hiking stick, clothes, light, fishing pole, bait,and bikes. You should bring your Good behavior because things will not work out the way you planed.

My Father

My father is grate he hellps us make breftes in bed for mom. He gose to wrock when evry one is usleep. My dad plays the compyooter a lot and I mene a lot! He nose how to do trix on a scate bord. he nose how to ride a bike backwrds! he is speshl.

My Mother

my Mom is nice she will cook are denner and lunch. she helleps us por milk. She cleans are room and makes are bed. She will tuck us in and will drive us to molebeele. (???) She is kind and plite (polite). She will read to us and danns with us and play with us. She will do any thing for any one and she is a alfubet techer at prescl.

Ready To Row!

This is out of sequence since my last post was about our second canoe trip, but here's a picture of me before our first canoe trip. We were about to go to Beaver Creek Dam Reservoir. As you can see, I was ready before we left home!

Second Canoe Trip

We bought a used canoe a few weeks ago and we took it out to Beaver Creek Dam Reservoir, but it was too windy and we didn't stay long. Dad and I got poison ivy.

Today we went canoeing on the Potomac River. We started at Goose Creek (Kephart Bridge Landing - 43942 Riverpoint Drive) and went to Algokian Park. It was hard to find the launch place.

It took 30 minutes to get to the water. First we went to the pickup point and looked around. Then we drove to the starting point.

Then we canoed while Mom went in the car to pickup point to get us. The water was muddy with all of the rain we have gotten. It took 3 hours and 30 minutes to unload the canoe, make the trip on water and load the canoe back onto the van at the pickup site.

We saw turtles, blue herons and a bald eagle. We didn't fish any, but there were some people catching flathead and channel catfish.

When we went home we went outside and played.

Here are directions from to the place thanks to Ben's Kayak Site. Ben has a great site and responded quickly to some questions we had.

• START: Kephart Bridge Landing
  There is paved parking for a dozen vehicles and the water is a short (100 yard) walk from the parking lot. The only problem with this "park" is that the entrance can be easy to miss -- look for two stone pillars between houses and a small brown sign indicating the park entrance at 43942 Riverpoint Drive.
  
  Since Google Earth hasn't filled in all the new streets in this neighborhood, here are directions: From Belmont Ridge Road, cross over Riverside Parkway, turn left onto Riverpoint Drive. Keep going approximately 1 mile. The park will be on your left at 43942 Riverpoint Drive.
  
  
• END: Algonkian Park
  In contrast to Kephart Bridge Landing, Algonkian Park is easy to locate in the heart of the Cascades neighborhood. There is ample space to park your pick-up vehicle, and even picnic tables and restrooms to take a break after your outing. There is a $2 fee for using the boat ramp so bring exact change and a pen for filling out the envelope, and help support this great asset to Potomac boaters.

We plan to put some pictures on the blog soon, but we forgot the camera this time.

My Best Birthday

When I was turning seven, I went to chuckiy cheese. I climed the maze slide and I went on the bucking jeep or monster truck. Then it was time for pizza.I had sausage. Then I opened my presents. One was a game called Super Mareow Brothers. Anuther present was a bed for Izzy. The last one was a MP3 player. Then next day I had a birthday party. My dad stole the cake and hid peseses to a picher of him putting the cake in the car under the babys seat. I ran, opened the car door and took the cake out of the car. Then we ate cake and party cake which is a type of ice cream. Then I opened one present. It was a Star Wars Lego droued Walker. I opend another present. It was a Sponge Bob Lego Rocket ship. The other present was another droued walker. I used one for the good side and one for the bad side. Then my friends went home. Guess what? My friend Sage is having a sleep over at his house on May nineth. that was my best birthday ever!

Snowmen at Night

Do you no what snowmen do at night?Well I no. This is relle story. This is what they do first. They go to the beach and cech (catch) a wale ride and then go to the pack. (park) and dig a hole to Grate (great) Wolf Log (lodge). Then they go to a resteront named Pikl noses Diner and they all ortored snow brgr and frise after they are all stuff with food, they wonted to loos some wate (weight) so they climed a tree. To the top! One Shawted. (shouted) So they all climed to the top and went back down. Then they naled a dart bord and had a contest to see who could throw the farthest and hit the blsiye (bullseye) without makeing a mastace (mistake) and sqosh nose won. Then they set up a resling mat and apple nose and orange nose resled (wrestled) on it. After they clened it up they went back to the bech to play bally ball. They set it up and played. Then they cleaned it up. Then they went to Europe and sange (sang) Cherry Pie. And then they whent back to Soth America. When they got back they went home tired and hungry.

Water Cycle

With out the Water sicle the plants wil not gro. Without the water cycle we wud (would) diy (die). We yoos (use) water in a lot of ways baths wosh dishis wose feet and hand's berush teth wosh clos drink water. This is how the water cycle gos -ferst is evaporation. Evaporation mense little molecules go up and tern to gas. Wen the molecules get hi (high) unuf (enough), they stik to dust parucles and form a clawed (cloud). The clawed wil git biger and biger the mor molecules stic to it. Wans (Once) the clawed is big unuf it wil ether rane (rain) if it is 33 or hiere (higher) If it is 32 or blow it is mabe going to snow.

My Snowman

One Snowy day mom said lets bild a snowman mom rold (rolled) the big ball. My sisters rold the meteum ball. I rold the little ball. We ol (all) wrcked together to role the arm's. we stuft them in the mitt ball. we putied snow in woter peroof (water proof) mittin's and stuft them on the arm's. We made a cherry mouth and a ceret nose and two eye's made awt(out) av col (coal). And I touk a yellow, green, orange and blue culd water peroof hat and put on his head. We cold (called) him ferosty. (Frosty).

Eddie Egg

One Day a little egg named Eddie climed a tree and fell off and broce his head. When he got home his mom and dad wer supprised. Mom called the hospetil and put him awtside (outside). One minute later, the hosphetl truck came and towck him to the hsphetl for one week. wen he came awt (out) he saw his parents he wantied to go home. He had speshl tape on his chrack. One day wal (while) they wr (were) camping, a storm bloo in the camping tralere. Water from the lake came down and Eddie's bandig was loos. Eddie toowck off the tape and the water went in the ckrack. Then after the storm, they went home.

Camping

On Saturday Nick and Sage toled Mister Jim that they wanteid to go camping and he agreed. The next day they startid packing. They packed marshmelose, head lites, fire wood, a tent, sleeping bags, and food. then they set oof to fined a campsite. They derove two miles and found a campsite. Then they an lotied (unloaded) there stuff. then they set up there tent. Then they went hiking in the woods. Then they went in to there sleeping bags. Then they went to sleep. The next morning they wouck up and touck down the tent and packed up there stuff and went Home.

Food Chain

Producers are plants that get enrgy from the sun and water. Consumers are anumls that eat other anumls. Decomposers are fungi and bacteria. Now that I have exsplaned evry thing you nede to no here is a rele food chain. The worm eats the leaf. The frog eats the worm. The snake eats the frog. The owl eats the snake. eventchly the owl will diy (die) and fungi and bacteria wil make it in to little pesise (pieces) and make food for plants wich is a sicle (cycle).

A Pet Puppy

One Day a little boy named Raymond asked his mother for a puppy his mom said, yes. I had to save my allawnts (allowance) for it. When I saved enuf many (money), I ran to the pet store and looked at the puppys. He saw a cyoot one and bot it He had 30$ left over he gave the 30$ to the poor. At home he played with his puppy. Gave it food and gave it a name. It's name was Chomowe.

Lightningpest

Adam now has a web site for his business. http://www.lightningpest.com. They kill bugs. The site says they kill them fast.

I lost some teeth. The new ones are almost ready to be done.
We made the bottom of this snowman. It was about as tall as me.

I had a birthday party. It was lots of fun, but someone stole the cake as you can see in this picture.

We had to find clues in the woods to find out who stole the cake. Claire is reading a clue in this picture.

The clues were pieces of a puzzle, which was this picture. When we got all of the pieces of the clues, then we were missing a piece. But we still saw that Dad stole the cake and I got the cake out of the van.

Then we took a picture of some of my friends with me.

I got some presents from Meme and Pawpaw and Autumn and Noel.

I went to on my real birthday to Chuck E. Cheese. And we played games.

I Lost a Tooth

On January 10th, my tooth was hanging by a thread and I wanted Dad to pull it out. And, he said, "We will need some string." And I said, "We could use my floss." So I ran up to get my floss. I gave it to him and he pulled a lot out and he tied a knot but the knot broke when he tried to pull my tooth. So he tied an even harder knot and it worked. When it came out on the carpet, we saw one thing that sort of looked like my tooth, but Claire found my tooth. But the one that we found first was actually like a cereal, and Dad ate the fake one (the cereal).

I put it under my pillow. The next morning I found two dollars but my tooth was gone. Last time the Tooth Fairy let me keep my two baby teeth, but this time she took it. But I really wanted it, so I made a note in the morning and put it under my pillow. And, on January 12th, I got my tooth back and I was happy.

Gracie

She was a good dog. Her color was tan. She was sort of afraid of kids. She sort of liked grown ups. She liked to lay out in the sun in the back yard. She loved to ride in the car and chase squirrels. She had seizures a lot recently. Gracie died and we are very sad.

Meet Santabonbana!

We visited Santa before Christmas.

Claire: It was very fun.

Julia: We saw Santa's 2 parrots.

Claire: I saw 2 girls hold one of the parrots...Luke even got a picture by himself with Santa. Santababana. ha ha! I got a Polly Pocket boat from Santa with one boy and two girls and two swimming pools and 3 beds!

Julia: Luke wished for a baby toy.

Claire: Luke wished for a baby bottle.

Visiting Our Great-Grandparents

We went to visit Mary Lee and Jamesy when we were on vacation heading to Mobile. They are our great-grandparents and they were nice. They live in a rest home with some other people. They needed help doing things.

My Big Tooth

My left top tooth is ready to come out. It hurts when I push it too far forward. It wiggles very far forward, but not very far backwards. This is the first tooth that ever fell out. My other two bottom teeth were pulled out by the dentist.

Squanto

Squanto - a book by Nick

Long ago 102 Pilgrims sailed on the Mayflower. They did not have very much food. They had to eat cheese that had mold on it. The Mayflower landed at the New World. It was getting colder. The Pilgrims did not have very much food. The men chopped trees down to build their homes. In the spring an Indian named Samoset came to the Pilgrims. The Pilgrims said you speak English. I know someone that speaks better English than me. The next day Samoset brought another Indian. His name was Squanto. He helped them survive 51 died. Squanto showed the Pilgrims how to make a tree into a canoe, how to plant corn, what you can eat, and what you can not eat.
